Two of the parities vying for seats in November’s municipal election have unveiled the names of candidates running in some Montreal boroughs.
Balarama Holness, who is seeking election as city mayor under the Mouvement Montréal banner, announced Monday that Matthew Kerr will run for borough mayor in Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.
In a release, Holness said Kerr will prioritize housing and economic development in the borough.
Last month, longtime councillor Lionel Perez announced he will run for mayor of that borough as part of Ensemble Montréal, led by Denis Coderre.
Sue Montgomery, the current borough mayor in C.D.N.–N.D.G., is running under her own party, Courage — Équipe Sue Montgomery.
In Lachine, Coderre announced three candidates in that borough on Monday, including one-time Montreal Expos pitcher Denis Boucher, a former municipal councillor who is running in the Fort-Rolland district.
