Sunday’s confirmed cases included two in Chatsworth, two in Meaford and one each in Arran-Elderslie, Grey Highlands, South Bruce Peninsula, and Southgate.
Now 42 active cases and 396 high-risk contacts of known cases are being followed by the health unit, according to its Sunday daily situation report. Cases were current to midnight Saturday in that report.
Two local people with COVID are in a local hospital due to the virus. The number of Grey-Bruce residents who died as a result of COVID stands at 23.
Altogether, of the 2,533 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Grey-Bruce since the pandemic started, 2,464 are considered resolved.
Now four cohorts have been dismissed in the Holland Chatsworth Central School’s outbreak, declared Thursday. More than one case in a setting triggers an outbreak. It’s the only school or other setting in Grey-Bruce with a declared outbreak.
Four other schools not in outbreak have a total of eight dismissed cohorts though.
Grey Highlands Secondary School in Flesherton has dismissed four cohorts; Hanover Heights Community School and Kincardine Tiverton Townline Public School each dismissed a single cohort; and St. Anthony’s School in Kincardine dismissed two cohorts.
The First Base YMCA Before and After School Program child-care centre at Hanover Heights still has one dismissed cohort.
