Canada's restaurant industry survived the pandemic, but many establishments' futures may be at stake thanks to higher labour, rent and food costs. More than half — 51 per cent — of restaurants in Canada are currently losing money, compared to just 12 per cent before the pandemic, according to industry group Restaurants Canada.
