A man accused of killing a North Battleford man had two more court appearances in Lloydminster Provincial Court with the matter being adjourned each time.

North Battleford Legal Aid lawyer Andrew Lyster waived Lance Dwayne Littlewolfe’s appearance in court July 12 and June 14. The matter has been adjourned to July 26.

Lyster told the court today that there is “quite a substantial volume of disclosure” with more coming. Disclosure consists of the Crown’s case against the accused.

Littlewolfe was arrested in North Battleford on April 23 and charged with second-degree murder in Daxon Hornick-Schmidt’s death.

On April 17, 2021, Lloydminster RCMP responded to a call of a deceased man on a sidewalk on 50 Avenue. The man was identified as Hornick-Schmidt.

Littlewolfe remains in custody.

The charges against him haven’t been proven in court.
