We've covered more than 40 Toronto events since the start of the Israel-Hamas war. What we've seen is heartbreaking, hopeful — and complicated - Toronto Star

Every part of the world is tethered to Toronto. In this city, with its microcosms of global cultures, aftershocks of every quake are deeply felt. And when there is war, the heightened tensions spill into our streets, our politics and our lives.  

In the 11 weeks since the onset of the conflict, the Star has spent hundreds of hours covering more than 40 events in the GTA related to the Israel-Hamas war.

At a pro-Palestinian protest earlier this month demonstrators wrote graffiti on the BMO building at King & Bay streets.

A pro-Israel car rally drew 90 or more cars as it wound from Metro Plaza (Bathurst and Lawrence) to Nathan Phillips Square last month.
